GAYE BEASLEY – was MBA/MW's President in 1994 and our Association’s first female President. She worked primarily in the Multifamily area. She started her career with Walker & Dunlop. In 1985, she started the Patrician Mortgage Company and served as its president and chief executive officer until she sold the company in 1997. She passed away in 2006 from the early onset of Alzheimer’s disease.
BRIAN CHAPPELLE - has been a Founder/Partner of Potomac Partners since 1999, where he advises many of the top Mortgage Banking firms. He has been involved in the Mortgage Banking industry for almost 50 years. Brian is a 1972 graduate of Georgetown University with a degree in Government. He worked at FHA for 11 years and was the Director of FHA’s Loan Production Division. At FHA, he received the HUD Distinguished Service award in 1984 for his work on the implementation of the Direct Endorsement Program. He was SVP at MBA for 13 years and spoke numerous times at MBA/MW meetings and conferences and is quoted extensively in mortgage finance publications.
JOE ROGERS - was our MBA/MW President in both 1987 and again in 1991 when , for various reasons, our association had several vacancies in our Board succession list. Joe is a 1972 graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park. Joe spent close to five decades in the Mortgage Banking business before he retired as Executive V. P of Wells Fargo Mortgage.
JEAN ROSEN - was our Association's Executive Director for over 20 years from 1997-2017. She has held various other leadership positions throughout her career in both the Non-Profit and the Association management industry. She currently is a Daily Money Manager and CEO/Founder of Fiscally Focused LLC.
BF SAUL - B. Francis Saul II was our past President in 1968. He most recently was the Chairman and CEO (and Founder) of the Saul Centers and many associated real estate companies. His Grandfather Bernard Francis Saul started DC's first mortgage banking firm in the 1930's. Mr. Saul is a graduate of Villanova University and also has a LLB degree from UVA. He founded Chevy Chase Bank which was sold to Capital One Financial in 2009.
DAVE STEVENS, CMB is the CEO of Mountain Lakes Consulting, Inc since 2019. Dave served as the President and CEO of Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) and prior to this role, Dave served as the US Assistant Secretary of Housing and Federal Housing Commissioner at HUD (US Department of Housing and Urban Development). Dave has served a variety of key industry leadership roles prior to his work in Washington including as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Long & Foster Real Companies, Inc., Executive Vice President of Wholesale Lending at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, and Senior Vice President in charge of Single Family Lending at Freddie Mac, and Group Senior Vice President at World Savings Bank. Dave currently sits on the Board of real estate investment trust Dynex, Inc and is an Advisor to the Board of Directors for George Mason Mortgage Co, LLC. Dave works on advisory efforts in real estate finance and providing technical and strategic consultation to financial institutions and intermediaries.
