The panel will address how companies in the mortgage and banking world can view data security from the legal, technical, insurance, and public relation’s perspective. It will give a macro and micro view on how each field interacts and impacts cyber. Also, it will address view on how the laws and regulations impact them directly, practical and cost-effective measures for cybersecurity infrastructure, considerations about insurance, and proper communications and messaging in the event of a data breach. Finally, it will provide the necessary tools and information to obtain c-suite involvement and approval in implementing cost-effective and powerful cybersecurity enterprise strategy.

Mr. Anthony Hess, CEO, Asceris

Anthony is CEO of Asceris, a cybersecurity consultancy with a focus on insurance and legal markets. Anthony has over 20 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, cyber insurance, and information technology. Anthony co-founded Asceris in 2020 to reduce the business impact of a cyber incident through the aggressive use of automation.

Mr. Bob Parisi, Head of North America Cyber and Tech, Munich Reinsurance Company

Mr. Parisi joined Munich Reinsurance Company in December 2020 as the Head of Cyber-North America for the Facultative & Corporate unit. He began his career as an attorney, principally representing Lloyds of London. Before joining MunichRe, he spent 15 years at Marsh & McLennan as Managing Director and Cyber Product Leader. Mr. Parisi held various management roles at AIG before joining Marsh, including Chief Underwriting Officer for Professional Liability & Technology. While at AIG, Mr. Parisi was instrumental in the development and launch of cyber insurance and the reinsurance market for cyber insurance. 

Mr. Spencer S. Pollock, Esq., CIPP/US, CIPM - Partner & Cybersecurity Practice Lead at Niles, Barton & Wilmer, LLP

Mr. Pollock is an award-winning cybersecurity attorney, public media figure and leads the cybersecurity law practice at Niles, Barton & Wilmer, LLP. Mr. Pollock has extensive experience consulting, advising, and assisting clients in preparing and responding to cyber-attacks and data breaches, handling regulatory investigations, and ensuring organizations comply with all applicable state, federal, and international cyber laws. Mr. Pollock’s experience includes speaking and presenting nationally about cybersecurity and cyber law for a wide variety of associations and trade groups, including financial and treasury (i.e., Mid-Atlantic Association of Financial Professionals and the Treasures Roundtable). Finally, Mr. Pollock is an experienced trial and civil defense attorney who had served as first chair on over fifty jury and three hundred bench trials.

Mr. Evan Roberts, Senior Director Strategic Communications, FTI Consulting

Mr. Roberts is a senior director in the Strategic Communications segment at FTI Consulting and is based in New York.  In his role, Mr. Roberts advises companies. He develops and executes multi-stakeholder communication programs around significant change and crisis moments, including data privacy challenges, labor relations issues, complex litigation, and other crisis scenarios. Mr. Roberts cybersecurity experience runs a gamut of diverse scenarios and includes ransomware attacks, large-scale data exfiltration, spear-phishing attacks, and employee data theft.
