Steve Rozga: 2024 Hall of Fame Inductee

Steve began his career in real estate finance in 1983 with Principal Mutual Life in Des Moines, Iowa. There he was in charge of mortgage opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic. Before forming Gimbert Associates LLC, Steve was a Managing Director in the Mortgage Banking and Commercial Finance Group of the H.G. Smithy Company in Fairfax, Virginia. He started in the mortgage banking and commercial finance field in 1987, joining the Carey Winston Company of Chevy Chase, Maryland.

Steve has BBA degrees in Finance and Real Estate & Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin. He is also active with the Mortgage Bankers Association of Metropolitan Washington, serving as its President in 2006 and as a member of the Board of Governors from 2000-2007 and 2010. He has been a member of its Commercial Real Estate Finance Council since 1998. Steve is also a supporter of the Washington, DC-based affordable housing group, Manna, Inc., and has served on its Leadership Committee since 2003.
