About the Speaker: A veteran of over twenty years within the housing industry, Bill Killmer is Senior Vice President for Legislative and Political Affairs at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). In this capacity, Bill is responsible for managing the housing finance industry's legislative, political and grassroots activities, in close coordination with the MBA member leadership and its public policy team. He directs MBA's outreach to Congress, as well as other key state/local and political advocacy efforts.

Killmer joined MBA in July 2010, after serving for nearly ten years as Executive Vice President for Advocacy at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), a position in which he was responsible for all major public policy outreach.Prior to his career at NAHB, Killmer served as a Senior Legislative Officer for Congressional Affairs at the U.S. Department of Labor during the George H.W. Bush administration.
